British Airways has announced changes to the Winter 08/09 schedules. Please find below the guidelines for customers affected by these changes. There are 3 separate sections:
1. BA has withdrawn the route;
2. BA is still operating the route, but the flight has been cancelled and customers are re-accommodated onto an alternative service; and
3. BA are still operating the route, but the flight has been cancelled with no re-accommodation.
Route Withdrawal
British Airways it is to withdraw services to the following destinations with effect from 26 October 2008 London, Gatwick to/from Newquay (NQY)
London, Gatwick to/from Dresden (DRS) London, Gatwick to/from Poznan (POZ) London, Gatwick to/from Sarajavo (SJJ) London, Gatwick to/from Valencia (VLC) London, Gatwick to/from Porto (OPO)
Advice for customers
Customers in possession of a ticket who are booked to travel on British Airways services to the destinations above for a travel date on or after 26 October 08 are covered by the following guidelines: - Rebook onto an available British Airways flight to the same destination prior to 26 October 08. If the same booking class is not available, the next lowest class may be booked within the same cabin. This will be at no additional cost to the customer.
or - Refund the ticket purchased to the original form of payment.

Advice for customers
Customers in possession of a ticket for whom the alternative flight is not suitable are covered by the following guidelines: - Rebook onto an available British Airways flight to the same destination within a 3-day period before or after the scheduled departure time of the original flight. If the same booking class is not available, the next lowest class may be booked within the same cabin. This will be at no additional cost to the customer, and if required, the validity of the ticket may be extended.
or - Rebook onto a British Airways flight to the same destination at a later date in the same booking class and cabin. The flight must be re-booked and travel must take place within the validity of the original ticket purchased. This will be at no additional cost to the customer.
or - Refund the ticket purchased to the original form of payment.
NB - If the customers ticket includes a transfer to/from another service and is no longer within MCT, the above options above may also be used to rebook the transfer service.
