Further to previous communication below, BA CityFlyer have reached an agreement with Aer Lingus to reaccommodate customers booked to travel from 29 March 2009 onwards. Please see below for full details.
Customers booked for travel on cancelled BA CityFlyer services from London City airport to Dublin will be reaccommodated onto BA* marketed services operated by Aer Lingus to/from Heathrow as follows:
BA8461 LCY DUB will be rebooked onto the EI115/BA5951
BA8463 LCY DUB will be rebooked onto the EI163/BA5963
BA8465 LCY DUB will be rebooked onto the EI169/BA5969
BA8462 DUB LCY will be rebooked onto the EI158/BA5958
BA8464 DUB LCY will be rebooked onto the EI172/BA5972
BA8466 DUB LCY will be rebooked onto the EI182/BA5982
Advice for customers
The guidelines for customers have been updated as follows.
Customers booked from 29 March 2009 onwards who find the alternatives outlined above unsuitable may:
Rebook onto an available BA* marketed flight operated by Aer Lingus to the same destination (from Heathrow).
Customers should be rebooked into the same class as the reaccommodation on the BA* marketed service operated by Aer Lingus on a date within the validity of the original ticket. This will be at no additional cost to the customer.
or
Refund the ticket purchased to the original form of payment.
Please note, there is a charge for food and drinks onboard EI services.
All other options below remain unchanged.
BA CityFlyer have announced they are to withdraw services between London City airport and Dublin with effect Monday 02 March 2009.
Customers due to travel between 02 - 28 March 2009 inclusive will be rebooked as follows: - Customers from BA8461/3/5 will be rebooked onto BA8080/2/6 respectively from Gatwick to Dublin.
- Customers from BA8462/4/6 will be rebooked onto BA8081/3/7 respectively from Dublin to Gatwick.
Customers due to travel on cancelled services from 29 March 2009 onwards are entitled to a full refund to the original form of payment only. There is no alternative available for these customers.
If only one leg of a customers journey is affected by the changes, the customer is still entitled to a full refund.
Advice for customers
Guidelines have been issued for customers holding tickets issued on or before 25 February 2009 who are booked to travel on withdrawn services between London City airport and Dublin from 02 March 2009 onwards.
For customers booked between 02 and 28 March 2009 who find the alternatives outlined above unsuitable may:
Rebook onto an available flight to the same destination (from Gatwick) for travel before 28 March 2009. If the same booking class is not available, the next lowest class may be booked within the same cabin. This will be at no additional cost to the customer, and if required, the validity of the ticket may be extended.
or
Refund the ticket purchased to the original form of payment.
For customers booked from 29 March 2009 onwards:
Customers are entitled to a full refund to the original form of payment only. There is no alternative available for these customers.
