Here are some tips and hints on how you can enable Online Check-in for your customers:

  • Please ensure that you give the customers the correct booking reference, which they need to use the BA online functionalities.

Our investigations have found that nearly 50% of all incidents occurred because passengers attempted to access with a BA PNR number. This reference number can be found on the Amadeus itinerary print from the agency.

On such prints (see example below) you will find the Amadeus reference number in the top right corner (bold) and the BA PNR number (now placeholder in bold, at bottom of example). We have now initiated the removal of the BA PNR number, so that the passenger is not misled by it and uses it for accessing MMB/OLCI on ba.com. The current placeholder BA/NOSYNC will be removed as well. Please advise all passengers and trvl agts to use the Amadeus reference for accessing MMB and OLCi.

  • The correct format to enter the email address, so that OLCi and MMB works is in Amadeus: APE TEST@EMAIL.COM

The @ sign will turn into = in Amadeus.

  • The use of charactres not working in Amadeus, such as &, < and >
