  Dedicated check-in desks

1.

All homogenous groups travelling from T5 will report to Zone G

2.

BA at T5 will open a dedicated groups check-in desk at zone G when notified of a homogenous group who have been assigned block seating.

3.

Notification of a homogenous group travelling with BA, requiring block seating, is via the travel agent queuing the PNR to: NICBA0102/50C1 at least 7 days before departure. The seat-block keyword (NGST) is added to the PNR and a daily report, which is generated against that keyword, will be sent to Heathrow Terminal 5 automatically.

If the group PNR has not been queued (and has no NGST keyword) group members CANNOT use Zone G check-in desks but will be sent to CIKs.

For details on groups seating please see here

4.

Zone G check-in assistance desks for homogenous groups open 3 hours before departure time (or 05h00 if it is an early morning flight).

British Airways recommends that large groups aim to arrive as soon as check-in assistance opens to ensure there is enough time to check in all group members.

5.

Recommended minimum check-in times for large groups is 90 minutes before departure.

Check-in closes at 45 minutes before departure.

All passengers must have cleared security 35 minutes before their departure time.

6.

The dedicated desks in Zone G will open for groups that are greater than nine; if the homogenous group is smaller than this they will need to proceed to a CIK.

Check-in Kiosks (CIK)

7.

All non-homogenous groups (and homogenous groups of nine or less) will be required to use the Check in Kiosks (CIK) in any part of the Terminal.

Groups in Pnrs with a maximum of 6 passengers can check-in at a kiosk using one transaction. Groups of any size can check-in individually.

Note: homogenous groups (of nine or more) who have been assigned block seating must proceed to Zone G check-in assistance.

8.

When using a CIK for APIS routes, customers may be asked to swipe their passport and/or add first line of the destination address (US only)

9.

Check-in will be open at 3 hours before departure time.

Check-in will close at 45mins before departure time

All passengers must have cleared security 35 minutes before their departure time.
