Commercial Policy - bmi to withdraw Dakar services with effect from 01 May 08

British Airways codeshare partner bmi have announced they are to withdraw services between London and Dakar, Senegal, with effect from 01 May 2008.

Customers booked on BA* marketed codeshare services operated by bmi to Dakar are covered by the options outlined below.

Advice for customers

Customers holding tickets issued on or before Tuesday 04 March 2008 who are due to travel on BA* marketed codeshare services operated by bmi between London and Dakar from 01 May 2008 may:

Rebook to Dakar via Brussels with SN Brussels

  • London - Brussels/ Brussels - London sector (BA mainline)
     

Rebook between London and Brussels on BA mainline services to connect to SN Brussels services as appropriate. This should be rebooked as follows:

- On the closest available flight to the original flight, provided that a seat is available in the cabin originally booked

or

At the passenger’s convenience:

- Up to 2 weeks after the original flight, provided a seat is available in the cabin originally booked

- At any time outside of the above periods, provided a seat is available in the same fare class and same cabin as originally booked

Conditions

a) Any changes to the booking (PNR) must take place no later than two weeks after the original flight.

b) The passenger will be booked into the same booking class, or where applicable, the lowest available class within the same cabin of travel.

c) Travel must be completed within ticket validity or within three months from the original flight, whichever is longer.

d) The return flight, if applicable, can be rebooked at the same time, and no extra fare is payable.

 

Brussels - Dakar / Dakar - Brussels sector (SN Brussels)

The SN Brussels sector between Brussels and Dakar must be rebooked as follows:

Economy class - rebook into Y class

Business /First class - rebook into D class

This is applicable to travel between 01 May and 31 December 2008

Rebooking should be on the closest available flights to the original flight, provided that a seat is available in the classes outlined above

or

At the passenger’s convenience:

- Up to 2 weeks before/after the original flight, provided a seat is available in the classes outlined above.

Conditions

a) Any changes to the booking (PNR) must take place no later than two weeks after the original flight.

b) Travel must be completed within ticket validity or within three months from the original flight, whichever is longer.

c) The return flight, if applicable, can be rebooked at the same time, and no extra fare is payable

Customers who find the above options unsuitable may be offered a full refund.

  • Refund of the original BA* marketed codeshare flight operated by bmi, plus any parts of the journey not made which are on the same ticket as the original flight

- The refund will be provided to the original form of payment.
