British Airways Seating Request
TCP Booking Reference Linkage Process
Should a Premier or Gold Executive Club cardholder (& oneworld equivalent), or a family travelling with an Infant, request advance seating with someone booked on a separate PNR known as TCP (to complete party), please follow the guidelines below.
Also, from 07th October 2009, if a Premier or Gold Executive Club cardholder (& oneworld equivalent), requests advance seating in an emergency exit row with someone booked in the same PNR, please also follow the guidelines for inserting both the TCP and TOGT keywords below.
Request TCP seat process for Travel Agents
1. From the Premier/Gold and Infant booking ensure the right SSRs are entered for: - All Infant PNRs must have the relevant SSR Infant field in the eligible booking
- Premier & Gold PNRs must contain the exec card as an SSR FQTV item in the eligible booking
2. Ensure that all the Eligible PNRs for Premier, Gold and Infant have seat number/s confirmed, as per current booking process.
3. Ensure the TCP bookings are linked by including all the other Amadeus PNRs record locators in the correct format. This should be added to all the PNRs for which seats are required

Action from British Airways - BA will only action seat request for the flight and date segment/s on which the party is traveling together with the eligible passenger
- BA will review the request, and if possible seat as requested
- If the request is not available, BA will book closest seats together (eg opposite aisles)
- BA will take no action on PNRs for other customer types or PNRs that do not contain the OSI TCP field
- BA is unable to allocate a small selection of restricted seats (eg exit rows and bassinet/cot seats which only show available to qualifying passengers)
- PNRs will not be queued. It is the agent’s responsibility to check the PNRs for seat allocation.
The Passenger should be advised
BA will pre-seat the customer subject to availability & seat requests are never guaranteed and always subject to operational needs
Subsequent seat change
Should an aircraft or configuration change generate an automated operational seat change that separates the party, the ‘request seat’ process must be initiated again. The travel agent would need to remove and re-enter the TOGT keyword.
