The following section provides you with some important notes relating to customers who may need special assistance due to some form of medical condition.

If a passenger has been recently hospitalised and/or had an operation, British Airways needs to know relevant dates, nature of hospital treatment plus details of any medication being taken.

If a passenger has a history of, or is suffering from, a medical condition when they are due to travel British Airways needs to know these details.

Please click here to download the BA Medical Information sheet.

Please click here to download the BA Additional Info to the Medif form - part 1 to be completed by passenger or agent, and parts 2 and 3 fully completed by treating Doctor. Then return this for to fax 0044 208 738 9644 (attach new medif with all relevant parts)

If a passenger is suffering from an injury that requires immobilising e.g. they are in plaster or splints, British Airways needs the details. If your customer is within this category they would need to be able to sit normally in the aircraft seat*

* If a passenger has their leg in plaster which prevents them sitting normally in the aircraft seat, extra seat(s) must be purchased. A passenger who cannot sit normally in an aircraft seat is not able to sit with their injured leg in the aisle (a request which is often made to British Airways).
