British Airways may be selected as ticketing carrier by Travel Agents when issuing tickets to cover journeys which include travel entirely or partially: on flights with a BA flight number (including flights with a BA prefix operated by a BA franchise carrier*)
Where the fare rules allow, British Airways may also be selected as ticketing carrier by Travel Agents when issuing tickets to cover journeys which include travel entirely
(a) on the flights of Qantas (QF) and/or American Airlines (AA) and/or Iberia (IB) and /or (b) on the flights of Open Skies''
In all other cases, British Airways must not be selected as ticketing carrier.
No British Airways department has any authority to give a verbal authorisation to waive this rule.
Since 2002, British Airways has had a CIP Misuse Fee in place. The rates effective for sales from 1 August 2009 are shown in the attached list.

This fee will be applied in each case where a BA CIP has been used to issue tickets which do not conform to these procedures. In the event of a fee being applied, it will be charged to each ticket and debited by means of an ADM.

Notes: This Ticket Issue Policy applies to Travel Agents who have been granted authority to issue British Airways tickets.
